My Thoughts: Wow, I’m a huge Penelope Douglas fan, Fall away series is one of my top favs. I wasn’t really sure how I would like this based off the synopsis, but holy moly I absolutely loved this book. It’s not like any of the other books I’ve read by her before, there is envy, hate, desire, lust, violence. So many moments I was like what am I reading, but yet it was perfect in every way.

Rika is trying to move on and become independent picking a college away from ex- boyfriend and his older brother who not only terrifies her but was a constant thought in her head. Little did she know the apartment she found was owned by his family and Micheal the older brother was one floor above her.

Micheal’s been planning revenge on Rika for 3 years when she put his 3 best friends in jail, they are out now and she is alone, unprotected and currently living in the apartment beneath him.

I really enjoyed seeing it go from present to past you really got to understand the characters, and see how everything unfolded. I love reading books where the characters are fighting against their feelings and seeing how they evolve throughout the book. This was not only a heated romance, there was so much suspense I loved every minute of it. I cannot wait to finish this series.

Would I recommend this book to a friend? I would, although I do think you’ll either love this type of book or hate it. So go in with an open mind it really is great !
