My Thoughts: Unpopular opinion coming.. I wanted to so badly enjoy this book, I read a lot of great reviews but unfortunately was not so amazing for me. Jules just lost her job and boyfriend in the same day when she walked in on him with another women. She has no idea what she is going to do, while crashing at her best friends house. She spots a very cryptic ad in the paper looking for an apartment sitter, all she has to do is follow the rules for 3 months. Doing so will give her $1000 cash per week, sounds pretty simple except no nights spent away from the apartment, no visitors and no disturbing the other residents. Shortly after she settles in a fellow apartment sitter goes missing Ingrid, Jules is now on the hunt to figure out what happened to Ingrid. Will jules find out? or will she uncover something she wish she never moved in, in the first place.

First I still can’t get over how this was all in the span of 6 days, thankfully Riley lets you know what day it is because it honestly felt like months. This story is definitely a slow burning book which I think partly why I wasn’t quite as hooked as I hoped. I really enjoyed the first 15 chapters then it was a struggle until about chapter 30 and then I was like okay this is what I’m here for. I really enjoyed Jules, she is a lot braver then I would be.. first night I would of packed up my stuff and high tailed it out of there. The ending had me surprised I was not expecting that outcome, but I really liked seeing how everything was connected. Riley had a great way of hiding thing in plain sight, if that makes sense. My only wish is WHERE IS JANE? I won’t say anymore then that. Overall it was a good book, even though I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped I would still recommend it based off other great reviews.
